Cannabis flower is the dried, cured bud of the plant. It is the oldest and most flexible format. You can smoke it, vaporize it, roll it, or use it as the base for your own infused cooking. Happy Leaf stocks a rotating shelf from licensed New Jersey cultivators.

How we organize the shelf

Three lanes: indica (relaxed, body-forward, evening), sativa (energetic, head-forward, daytime), and hybrid (a balance of both, depending on the strain). Each strain ships with a terpene profile and a THC percentage. Beginners often do well in the 12 to 18 percent THC range; experienced users frequently choose 22 percent and up.

Strain types and effect profiles

Indica strains tend to produce relaxation, sleepiness, and pain relief. Sativa strains are associated with creativity, focus, and social energy. Hybrids blend the two and lean indica or sativa depending on the lineage. Terpenes (myrcene, limonene, pinene, caryophyllene) carry the flavor and shape the effect just as much as cannabinoids do.

Reading a flower label in NJ

NJ-CRC requires a strain name, lineage, total THC and CBD percentages, terpene composition, batch number, harvest date, and the cultivator license. Every flower jar at Happy Leaf shows the lab results. If a label is missing data, we do not stock it.

Storage and freshness

Store flower in an airtight glass jar away from light and heat. A cool, dark cabinet is ideal. Avoid plastic bags long-term; they degrade trichomes faster. Properly stored flower stays fresh for several months.

Flower FAQ

Common questions about flower.

Need a real answer fast? Call (856) 545-7024 during business hours.

What is the difference between indica and sativa flower?

Indica strains lean toward body relaxation, deeper sleep, and appetite. Sativa strains lean toward head clarity, focus, and energy. Hybrids blend both. The actual experience also depends on terpene profile and dose, so the indica/sativa label is a starting point, not a guarantee.

How much flower can I buy in one transaction?

NJ adult-use law caps you at one ounce of flower (28 grams) per transaction. You cannot combine flower with concentrates or edibles to exceed combined limits. Medical patients have higher daily caps.

How do I know if a flower has been tested?

Every legal NJ flower jar shows the cultivator license, batch number, total THC/CBD, terpene profile, and lab certificate. If you want to see the COA (certificate of analysis), ask your budtender; we have lab PDFs on file for every product.
